Mary Beth met Sandy during the Global Leadership Conference held at Central Church of Christ in the late summer of 2018, where they instantly connected. She talked with Sandy several times after that at H2H and saw the vision, the love and the true heart from God displayed in everyone she met. She mentioned to Sandy that she would be open to volunteering and began helping one day a week in June of 2020. The need is so great for the services that H2H provides and she continually marvels at the amount of outreach that is given, selflessly, by the counselors. It is amazing to her to see lives changing week after week through the hand of God. Mary Beth also enjoyed volunteer work over the years having served as Diabetes Awareness Chairman for the Lions Club District 1K. She served on the Board of Directors for Streator Community Credit Union for several years and was also a OSF Hospice Volunteer for a short period of time.
